It’s not often that a young mans musical production has a wide range like Jonas Briere’s aka. SubMarine’s music. It can be described as something between sublow, skipping-fast and cinematographic.

The Producer and DJ based in Cologne started his musical journey in 2010. Fast forward 3 years with 19, SubMarine had his first official release with ‘Razzia’ on ‘Bassliebe’ which demonstrated his affinity for the fast paced, deep & rolling Ed Rush & Optical inspired Drum & Bass.

But it really was the dubstep influenced ’15 Knots’ released on the same label two years later that caught peoples attention. It was picked up by Fixate who played it on BBC Radio 1 and only a couple weeks later, live at the Exit Records Outlook Boat Party which one could say was a turning point in this young germans life, getting salutes by Skeptical and SP:MC live on stage.

Since then he’s had a stellar couple years with tracks released on Demand Records like ’Void’, which gathered a stunning 20k+ plays and 1k+ likes on Soundcloud. Boundless Beats with ‘Nitro/30 Pictures’ where he hinted his composition talent and love for cinematographic sound. The low slung, half beat ’March Of Giants’ with Shield on the refreshing 20/20 LDN label. As well as the skippy ’Club Mate’ on Cyberfunk which even got a little edit treatment by no one other than Noisia. 2017 started with another release on ‘Demand Records’. The ‘Shamane’ EP which showed the diversity of SubMarines production, also his first solo 4 tracker. He continued with ‘No Exit Found’ on J:Kenzo’s ‘Artikal Music’ and finished off with ‘Back Track’ a collaboration with ‘Survey’ on Flexout.

Other highlights being his Bootlegs of ‘UK’ by ‘Dimension’ and ‘Changes’ by ‘Mala’ which caused hiatus on his artists profiles.

With forthcoming music on illustrious labels like 1985 Music, Cyberfunk, Dispatch, Flexout, Demand and various remixes in the pipeline, this SubMarine ain’t nowhere near yellow so watch out for some surprises in 2018!
